We are currently accepting applications from students at University of New Hampshire and Clark University. Students may apply to participate in their sophomore, junior, and/or senior year. Students must maintain a minimum of a 2.5 cumulative GPA. Students must also undergo an eligibility clearance at their home college.



Step 1: Eligibility Check. Every college/university has its own eligibility process that students must complete to participate in a study away program.  Please contact your college’s program administrator for information about the process and deadlines.

Step 2: Application. Fill out our online application.

Step 3: Interviews. Top candidates will be invited shortly after each application deadline.

Step 4: Selection. Students will be notified if they are selected into the program on a rolling basis after their interviews.

Step 5: Confirmation. Students must submit a $100 non-refundable housing deposit at the time of enrollment to be guaranteed housing in our apartments in Allston. The deposit is not required for students who have been approved to not reside in CfSI provided housing.

Our application consists of several sections. You will be asked to submit:

  • a resume OR a list of relevant activities
  • an unofficial transcript
  • 2 references
  • responses to a skills assessment

You will also have an opportunity to indicate your placement preferences and tell us about the social issues that matter to you.
