EDIE CHURCHILL

Senior Director of Finance and Operations

Edie Churchill is excited to join the team at College for Social Innovation as the Senior Director of Finance and Operations. In this role, they lead management of the organization's finances, technology, and human resources work while working closely with leadership to advance the mission and vision of College for Social Innovation.

Edie is driven by a desire to create social change and put good in the world. They bring to their position varied experiences from theater, crisis management, project management, mechanical engineering, and nonprofit operations. Their work has brought them from their hometown of Brockton, MA, to youth centers in Winterveld, South Africa, nonprofit arts in Washington, DC, the green energy industry across New England, and finally to the nonprofit sector of Boston. Most recently, they served for five years as the Director of Operations for FriendshipWorks, a Boston-based elder services nonprofit.

In addition to their professional work, Edie is an active thespian, poet, and board game enthusiast. They can often be found performing in local productions or poetry nights, designing and play-testing new games with their friends at Offcut Games, or just playing games at the Knight Moves Cafe in Brookline. They draw on their background in the arts and design to bring a fresh and creative perspective to their work.

Edie holds a B.A. in Theatre for Social Change from The George Washington University and is excited to support the mission of educating and inspiring the next generation of problem solvers.
