Katie Floyd

Recruitment manager

Katie Floyd is proud to be a member of the College for Social Innovation team in her role as Recruitment Manager. Since 2008, Katie has worked with nonprofits focusing on education, experiential learning, youth and leadership development, mentorship, and service. Katie is eager to deepen her commitment to this work with CfSI.

Katie graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. After a meaningful internship at the United Way in her final semester, Katie made the decision to dedicate the next year of her life to national service and joined City Year as an AmeriCorps member in New Hampshire. Katie found this experience to be personally and professionally transformational and she spent the next five years continuing to work with City Year in roles focused on operations, development, and finally - recruitment.

In 2014, Katie took her developed passion for recruitment to Citizen Schools in Boston. As Talent Acquisition Manager, Katie led full cycle recruitment and hiring strategies and processes for Citizen Schools staff based in Boston, New York, New Jersey, and Chicago. In this role, Katie also further developed an excitement for and experience in human resources and earned her Senior Professional in Human Resources certification in fall of 2016.

Katie is thrilled to join CfSI as a young and growing organization and looks forward to connecting students to their own transformational learning experiences in Semester in the City while simultaneously growing a pipeline of diverse and well-qualified talent for the social sector.
