Semester in the City is designed to cost the same or less than what you currently pay in tuition and fees. If you receive financial aid, you can continue to receive aid while you are enrolled in our program, making for a fun and affordable semester!* Learn more about the Semester in the City cost breakdown below. BENEFITS
Besides a meaningful and fully-credited internship, Semester in the City offers $3,500 in direct financial benefits to students that you may not receive with other study away opportunities. Benefits include:
$595.00 stipend for the semester

MBTA card with an unlimited balance for you to get around and explore all the diverse neighborhoods that Boston has to offer!

By participating in the Semester in the City program, you will become a quarter-time AmeriCorps service member!
Each student receives a Segal Education Award (or equivalent CFSI Grant for noncitizen students) of roughly ~$2,000

Leverage the Employers of National Service network, which connects you with hundreds of employers from the private, public, and nonprofit sectors who are committed to hiring AmeriCorps alumni
UNIVERSITY OF RECORD PARTNERS
COLBY COLLEGE
The University of New Hampshire (our University of Record) will bill you directly for the full cost of the program, including tuition, fees, and housing (unless you opt to live outside of SITC housing). Discounts are available to students who live outside of SITC housing, who choose a double bedroom instead of a single bedroom, and/or are eligible for the Federal Pell Grant program.
UMASS DARTMOUTH
The University of New Hampshire (our University of Record) will bill you directly for the full cost of the program, including tuition, fees, and housing (unless you opt to live outside of SITC housing). Discounts are available to students who live outside of SITC housing, who choose a double bedroom instead of a single bedroom, and/or are eligible for the Federal Pell Grant program.
LASELL UNIVERSITY
Lasell will bill you directly for participation in the program, including tuition, fees, and housing (unless you opt to live outside of SITC housing). This cost will be roughly the same as a traditional semester of taking classes and living on campus.
