ALEX JOHNSON

DIRECTOR OF SEMESTER FOR IMPACT

Alex Johnson is the Director of the Semester for Impact at the College for Social Innovation (CFSI). The Semester for Impact is an exciting new initiative for CFSI, and Alex will lead the ground-up design, launch, and delivery of the new program. Additionally, he coordinates with and supports recruitment, college partnership, and fundraising efforts across the organization.

Alex brings a wide variety of experiences to this new role. Prior to this role, he worked as the Director of Teaching and Learning at Stack Education, delivering online up skilling classes in partnership with local universities, and as the Director of Education and Outreach with the Massachusetts Educational Theater Guild, supporting theater programs and theater teachers across the Commonwealth. He is also an Academic Director with the Great Books Summer Program, an Artistic Associate of Stanford Repertory Theater, and the founder of the House Lights Fellowship. He draws on his performance background, as well as ten years of classroom teaching, to design, implement, and promote new ways to make a better world.

Alex holds a BFA in Drama from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, and an MA in Theater and Performance Studies from Stanford University.
