Requirements:

  • A 1-credit Cross-Cultural Explorations pre-departure course is required for all Earlham programs

  • Semester and academic-year opportunities open to all students, from any academic area of interest

Internal Application:

  1. Submit the Application for Earlham-Approved Off-Campus Study Programs.

  2. Applications for fall semester open in November of the preceding fall, and applications for spring open in mid-summer each year.

  3. Complete an interview with a campus program representative.

  4. Receive approval from Earlham.

  5. Complete a separate application with Semester in the City.

  6. Receive notification from the program provider about your acceptance to the program.

    Credit:

    15 TOTAL

  • Fellowship (9 credits)

  • Social Innovator's Toolbox (3 credits) - meets the needs for an Entrepreneurship class

  • Becoming a Problem Solver (3 credits) - meets the needs for a Business Ethics class

Billing & Financial Aid:

  • Earlham converts the meal package into a 1 time stipend of $1900 that is dispersed via check to the student at the beginning of the semester

  • Travel scholarships are available, though limited
