In Semester for Impact, nothing matters more than high-quality, well-supported internships…but that can’t happen without your partnership!

What Semester for Impact can do for YOU:

Our Semester for Impact Fellows serve approximately 30 hours per week at their internship sites, doing a mix of general capacity building and a unique special project that leverages the Fellows’ talents to deliver meaningful work for you and your organization.

Special projects are typically the kinds of high-value, medium-to-low-urgency projects that are often difficult to find time for.

Possible examples include:

    • A revised and updated database of grant opportunities

    • A new social media plan and sample marketing/design materials

    • A new outreach effort to bring in volunteers for a key program

    • Planning and execution of a new event to connect with the community

Our host organizations often report that their Fellows not only provided a key capacity lift for their semester of service, but also a source of inspiration and energy.

What We Are Looking For

Semester for Impact Fellows intern at nonprofits, government agencies, and social mission businesses.

We ask that any potential host site:

  • Designate a mentor to supervise and coach the Fellow throughout the semester

  • Collaborate on the design of a special project for the Fellow, taking up approximately 40% of their time

  • Support the Fellow with access to leadership and professional development opportunities

  • Provide the Fellow with any essential software or materials needed to complete their work

  • Commit to a $595 fee per Fellow, to help offset the cost of program operations and student benefits
