What is Semester for Impact really like?

You’ll be able to get hands-on experience, make a difference in your local community, and join a national network.

 

 

A typical week will involve approximately 30 hours at your internship site, as well as classes on Wednesday evenings and Friday mornings.

Your schedule may look something like this:

For students opting out of the Social Innovator’s Toolbox course and replacing it with a course on campus, you will need to approve your course schedule with your internship site.

workload:

  • While the classes do entail some homework outside of class, we try to make time for you to do everything you need to do during class hours.

  • Your internship may require occasional hours on weekends or in the evenings, which will be a part of (not in addition to) your 30 hours per week

activities & experiences

  • In addition the Launch Week mini-conference in Boston, Semester for Impact will include occasional guest speaker events, panel discussions, and opportunities for you to connect with other Fellows on your campus and online across the country

  • Semester for Impact is designed to cost the same, or in some cases less than, a regular semester at school
