KATE TUCKER

Director of Enrollment and Marketing

Kate Tucker is delighted to join the College for Social Innovation as Director of Enrollment and Marketing. In this capacity, she provides strategic leadership while working alongside the recruitment and marketing teams to build strong college partnerships, recruit and enroll new cohorts of fellows, and share the stories of our inspiring changemakers.

To this role, Kate brings an admissions and communications background from Grinnell College, where she spent six years as a happy (road) warrior and enrollment marketing professional. In that role, she managed cross-country territories, coordinated the transfer admissions program, supported an institutional partnership with QuestBridge, and built a portfolio of creative communications. She has also worked as an independent college counselor and served for two years as a board member and administrator of Latinos Unidos of Iowa, a college access nonprofit.

In addition to her work in higher education, Kate has taught power and yin yoga, facilitated classes about healthy relationships at a juvenile justice center, established a sustainable program connecting college students with seniors at a local retirement community, and spent a summer as a field instructor at a therapeutic wilderness school. Each of these experiences has informed her perspective and developed her passion for increasing access to equitable, holistic, high-impact experiential learning opportunities that meet young people’s needs and empower them to thrive.

Kate holds a B.A. in Psychology from Grinnell College and an Ed.M. in Human Development and Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
