What We Do

With Semester for Impact, we provide to your students:

  • A deeply supported and uniquely matched internship experience with a social impact organization in your community

    • We do the research, outreach, and oversight to make sure your students get the hands-on learning experience that can change their academic trajectory

  • Two cutting-edge courses in social innovation

    • We have developed and fine-tuned these courses over the past seven years in our Semester in the City program, serving over 500 students to date

  • The opportunity to continue taking courses on your campus and make progress towards their degrees

    • We help students plan their semester to make the most of their time with us

  • Membership in a growing National Learning Network of social innovators, where they can post jobs, attend special events, and share best practices

How It Works

Our program costs $5,350 per student per semester, with some additional fees for schools pursuing our University of Record partnership.

  • We also offer a $500 discount for students who opt out of the Social Innovator’s Toolbox course and replace it with a course on your campus.

  • Host organizations also pay $1000 per student per semester, with fee waivers available for organizations that can’t meet that requirement.
